We partner with organizations to train AI large language models, helping cutting-edge generative AI models write better code. Projects typically involve discrete, highly variable problems that require engaging with these models as they learn to code. No prior AI experience is necessary.
About The Opportunity
- Outlier seeks talented coders to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
- This is a remote, freelance opportunity with flexible hours, allowing you to work when it suits you best.
Contributions May Include
- Crafting and answering questions related to computer science to aid in training AI models.
- Evaluating and ranking code generated by AI models.
Desired Expertise
- Enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science from a selective institution.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in English.
- Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
Payment
- Core project work is paid at approximately USD $20.50-$32.50 per hour for Tier 3 coding experts.
- Rates depend on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Additional phases like onboarding or overtime may have different rates. Incentive payments may also be available. Please review specific project payment terms.
