Support for Mission Critical is a team within Microsoft that provides solution-specific expertise designed to drive peak health and optimum performance of a customer’s most important solutions. As a key technical resource for the customer, you will be primarily focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments, and providing tailored guidance. Troubleshooting skills are essential as this role will include working with Microsoft Support to expedite incident resolution.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

Customer Centricity

  • Gather customer/partner insights and map architecture and digital transformation solutions to business outcomes. Act as the voice of the customer, driving feedback and insights across teams.
  • Develop and expand relationships with customer and partner architects, technical decision makers, and stakeholders. Address requirements with technical architectures and demonstrate solutions' value.
  • Support customer/partner skilling, address capability gaps, and facilitate technical discussions to ensure readiness and adoption of best practices.
  • Guide team members to focus on customer experience, anticipate dissatisfaction, and improve overall value and transformation speed.

Business Impact

  • Identify issues, advise on performance optimization, and minimize risks, ensuring solution quality and pipeline hygiene.
  • Build and maintain relationships to resolve technical blockers and support solution deployment, leveraging Microsoft offerings and competitive insights.
  • Drive growth opportunities, increase consumption, and ensure solutions are resilient and optimized for production deployment.

Technical Leadership

  • Develop technical and professional growth plans, mentor colleagues, and participate in external technical communities.
  • Share insights and strategic input, contribute to intellectual property, and identify gaps for improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields and 4+ years in cloud/infrastructure technologies or related areas, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with solutions like SQL, NoSQL, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL, along with Azure Cloud certifications.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extended experience (8+ years) in related fields or higher education credentials.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and technical projects.
  • Business fluency in Portuguese.
