Oil & Gas Production and Revenue Accountant

As a critical link between field operations and financial reporting, you will manage the full-cycle production and regulatory accounting for high-intensity shale assets. This role is designed for a technical accountant who excels in revenue accounting and using SAP PRA – specifically horizontal wells and multi-well pads – ensuring 100% compliance with Texas and Louisiana state mandates.

Operational Impact & Responsibilities

• Basin-Specific Accounting: Execute monthly production accounting for operated/non-operated properties across the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville basins using SAP PRA.
• SAP PRA Ownership: Maintain and update SAP PRA master data, including properties, wells, leases, and measurement points, and ownership and division of interest (DOI) data
• Complex Allocation Management: Resolve production imbalances and ownership discrepancies related to unitization, pooling, and commingled production.
• Regulatory Shield: Serve as the lead for Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) and Louisiana Department of Energy & Natural Resources (LDNR) submissions.
• Audit Readiness: Manage regulatory master data and support audits, amendments, and inquiries.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Production Ops on volume validation, Land on DOI updates, and Marketing on price reconciliations.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated U.S. Onshore production accounting.
• Education: University Degree in Accounting or Finance; CRC preferred.
• Expertise: Direct history of managing Louisiana LDNR and Texas RRC frameworks.
• SAP PRA mastery: Hands-on experience processing revenue adjustments and regulatory porting through the system
• Agility: Ability to manage concurrent deadlines across multiple basins and state lines.
• US Onshore Operations: Deep understanding of horizontal drilling and pad-based allocation scenarios.
• Precision: High attention to detail regarding volume and regulatory data integrity.
• Communication: Skilled at translating complex technical accounting data for non-technical stakeholders in Operations and Land.

Technical Requirements

• Crawford Plus Packs (CPP) for State/Federal filings is a plus
• SAP S/4HANA experience is highly valued
• Advanced Excel for variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting
