About the Role

As a Senior Email UX Developer (JavaScript) , you will shape scalable, high-impact email experiences that directly support global demand generation and lifecycle marketing. This role matters because it establishes the technical foundation for accessible, consistent, and high-quality communication at scale. You’ll act as the core engineering partner for marketing operations, influencing how modern email systems, design frameworks, and automation platforms evolve. It’s a chance to own a critical channel, grow alongside advanced marketing technologies, and collaborate in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain standardized, modular, and scalable email templates and design systems
• Build and support demand generation, multi-touch, and nurture email programs
• Lead the transition from Marketo to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), adopting modern platform features and best practices
• Take full ownership of how email modules, templates, and components are built, maintained, and scaled
• Ensure emails meet accessibility standards, responsive design, and cross-client compatibility
• Partner with internal marketing stakeholders to deliver tailored and templatized email campaigns
• Own email testing, QA, and deliverability, ensuring high-quality execution across platforms
• Continuously improve email engineering processes as foundational capabilities are established

Must Haves

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
• Proficiency in HTML (email and web standards), CSS (email development), and JavaScript
• Experience building responsive email layouts
• Deep understanding of semantic and accessible HTML
• Knowledge of email accessibility standards
• Knowledge of email client compatibility
• Proven experience creating reusable, scalable email templates
• Email testing, QA, and troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with email deliverability tools (e.g., Litmus )
• Experience working with marketing automation platforms
• Experience building multi-touch and nurture programs
• AMPscript experience
• Upper-intermediate English level

Nice to Have

• Experience creating Salesforce Actions and working with Salesforce Lightning
• Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Advanced (MCA) and modern SFMC capabilities
• Familiarity with early-adoption or next-generation Salesforce features (non-legacy)
• Strong background in email design systems and component libraries
• Experience with templating languages such as Velocity, Mustache, or Handlebars
• Advanced email QA and deliverability experience using Litmus, Email on Acid, or Everest
• Experience with internationalization and localization for email
• Previous experience with Marketo
• Experience building heavy journey and nurture programs
• Marketo Certification or Adobe Marketo Engage Expert
