Motorista Carreteiro de viagem – Line haul – Feira de Santana – FedEx Group

Drives a vehicle with daily contact with a limited number of customers or internal parties, completing related administration or paperwork.

General job description:

1. Execute pickup, deliveries, and package verification processes, including invoices.
2. Drive trucks on varied routes, following pre-established itineraries, including interstate and overnight routes.
3. Provide necessary documentation related to the collection, delivery, and transfer of packages, delivery records, vehicle conditions, and Duties/Taxes invoices, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
4. Ensure personal and general safety at all times by following company safety policies and procedures.
5. Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with standards and corporate policies to ensure cargo integrity.
6. Maintain personal appearance, as well as the appearance of uniforms and vehicles used.
7. Work on different routes, covering for teammates on vacation.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• Elementary School diploma.
• Valid license to operate heavyweight vehicles.
• Driver's License Type E with a maximum of 5 points (fines).
• Valid Dangerous Goods Specialist certificate (MOPP - Movimentação Operacional de Produtos Perigosos).

Experience:

• At least 6 months of experience as a Truck Driver.
• Previous FedEx driving experience is strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Flexible working hours.
• Knowledge of tracking systems (e.g., Autotrac or similar).
• Understanding of traffic laws and safety standards.
• No preventable traffic accidents in the past 12 months.
• Ability to interpret maps and knowledge of interstate routes.
• Availability to travel interstate.
• Ability to operate mechanized loading and GSE equipment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver packages over 75 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Customer contact and package handling experience preferred.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as customer contact is involved.
