About the Role

As a Software Engineer at BWZ, you will oversee the entire development process—from discovery and planning to development, testing, and deployment. You will work in an environment that values responsibility, simplicity, and risk-taking.

You will be part of BWZ's Tech Team, focusing on back-end systems and integrations (using Node.js, Python, AWS, etc.), and also contributing to the architecture of our multi-site Web Platform (built in WordPress), our Ad Tech Platform (built in Ruby on Rails), among other systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reporting to the Technology Director and collaborating with the Back-End, Web Platform, and Ad Tech teams.
• Developing solutions for back-end systems, AI Agents, and various integrations.
• Researching and learning new technologies to improve performance and scalability.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Experience with both front-end and back-end development.
• Automate repetitive tasks.
• Good at managing your own time.
• Curious and eager to learn.
• Open to testing new ideas and moving on if they don’t work.

Required Skills

Required Experience

• 5+ years in web application development.
• Experience with system design.

• Understanding of databases.

• Experience with AWS architecture.
• Experience with AI development tools.
• Experience with MVC frameworks.
• Python application development experience.
• API development experience.
• Experience with testing and deployment processes.
